Ropes & Cables

Crane Wire Rope

We stock a wide range of wire ropes designed for crane hoists and lifting applications, providing safe, reliable performance across factories, workshops, warehouses, and mines. Each rope type is engineered with specific properties to suit different lifting capacities and operating environments.

6 x 36 Fibre Core

A flexible rope ideal for lower-capacity cranes, with a fibre or nylon core that bends easily around smaller rope drums and sheave wheels. Also available in steel core (IWRC) for improved resistance to mechanical damage.

8 x 36, 8 x 26, and 8 x 19

Eight outer strands increase surface contact with drums and sheaves, improving rope life and equipment longevity. High flexibility makes this a popular choice for hoisting.

Compact Strand

Compacted outer strands increase metallic surface area, extending rope and equipment lifespan while offering higher breaking loads without losing flexibility.

Non-spin / Non-rotating Rope

Essential for hoists with high lifting heights and 2/1 reeving, this rope prevents over-rotation and eliminates issues such as unwinding or bird-caging.

Wire Rope Lays

Available in left- or right-hand lays to match drum threading requirements. Opposite lay ropes prevent slippage and ensure safe winding.

PVC Flat Cables

RGM Cranes stocks a full range of PVC flat cables designed for use in crane festoon/cable loop systems.

Built to run smoothly on trolleys inside a C-profiled track, these flat cables are ideal for overhead cranes, portal cranes, and jib cranes, delivering safe and reliable power in demanding industrial environments. The flat profile allows multiple cables to be clamped onto a trolley without bending or damage, and even enables stacking of several cables on the same trolley. This makes them a versatile, space-saving solution for modern crane systems.

Additional Options

In addition to flat cables, RGM Cranes also stocks a complete range of festooning equipment to complement installations or provide quick replacements in the event of breakdowns. With decades of industry expertise, our team ensures you receive the right equipment to keep your cranes operating at peak performance.
